Paris, a legendary city, has inspired artists, photographers and musicians throughout the ages.

Victor Hugo described working-class Paris in Les Misérables; Apollinaire immortalized the Mirabeau bridge in his poem and Joe Dassin composed a song titled ‘Les Champs Elysées’. These days, luxury brands like Cartier and Dior draw inspiration from the beauty of Paris for their designs.

Paris is a popular setting for French films – just think of Amelie, with its many scenes shot in Montmartre. The city has also featured in international films; it is a particular favourite with American filmmakers.The Da Vinci Code is just one example. Then there’s From Paris with Love, Inception and of course Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, with scenes shot in Paris palace hotels like the Ritz and the Meurice, in the Musée Rodin and the Palace of Versailles: a genuine tribute to the French capital.


Created in 1971 at the joint initiative of the Paris City Council and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau is a non-profit making association that gathers more than 2,000 Paris tourist industry professionals.

The Bureau welcomes and gives information to tourists in Paris via its three permanent offices and via its website; it promotes the French capital in France and abroad. The Marketing Department has grouped together the departments that promote Paris to French and international tourism professionals (travel agencies, tour operators, event agencies, companies and associations).



Tendances MICE, the first event of business tourism in Grand Paris (from December 6, 2018 to July 2, 2019)

For its second edition, Tendances MICE is back in a brand new format to make you discover more and more event venues.

From December 2018 to June 2019, discover, from classic to more atypical places, a wide range of event offerings of Grand Paris. This season of events will revolve around six famtrips from December to May combining concrete site visits and a final workshop in June 2019 to put you in touch with as many event venue representatives in a minimum of time.

Step 1: A season of 6 famtrips (1 famtrip per month including visits to 3 to 5 sites each) from December 2018 to May 2019

Step 2: A final event on July 2, 2019 that will revolve around:

  • a workshop gathering all the partner sites of the event
  • a conference program soon unveiled
  • a networking cocktail with many activities

Who is this event aimed at?  
Tendances MICE is aimed at all organizers of associative and professional events (corporate decision-makers, executive assistants, agency managers, communication or HR managers, event project managers, etc.).
